Kickstart is a neurorehabilitation device designed to accelerate functional improvement and motor recovery following a stroke, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis or other neurological condition.
Kickstart provides stability and assistance to lift, swing and guide the leg properly for each step without using electronics.The Exotendon functions like an artificial tendon to store and release energy throughout the user’s gait cycle.

Kickstart is intended for individuals presenting with weakness in the lower extremity resulting from a stroke, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis or other neurological condition. It can be used with individuals who have:
• Difficulty advancing the impaired limb(s) or maintaining a step-through gait pattern
• Gait compensations such as circumduction, vaulting, trendelenburg
• Poor endurance for walking and standing
• Difficulty with proper weight bearing and weight shifting
